VISION 2020

Surveillance Vs. Consumerism

Over the past few months, we human beings have been bombarded with this disease called “Covid” and so many lives were taken away even though there was an outpouring of effort to save so many lives.

Our lives have changed over the past few months so drastically that staring at a monitor was something so normal that we, homo sapiens, naturally knew. Our identities were stolen from us because we had to protect each other and our natural instincts told us to stay in our own shells so that we could see our loved ones again physically in the near future. Even though our faces were covered, we were always watched by “Big Brother” and in order to survive we homo-sapiens had to consume goods. In order to consume, we were allocated with barcodes, and this allocation felt like we humans became some sort of a product that could be consumed daily by this virus without any biases and opinions.

I can’t remember those days when I walked freely without my identity being stolen and I can’t remember those days when I can see my loved ones when I wanted to. I can’t remember those days when I went out to buy goods risking my life and I can’t remember those days when I was not afraid to meet new people.

I hope this can all go away someday and that we can again break the SHELL to see the NEW WORLD
